Came to a different cafe this morning for my wake-up coffee and they’re playing All Along The Watchtower, Hendrix version, which is one way of waking up 👀
I stopped for gas one morning recently and the song playing was Blue Sky by the Allman Brothers. I nearly cried that I was in my 50's and on my way to work rather than in my twenties and blowing off whatever to hit the road with friends to do anything other than work.
Italy here. When I was a kid we had only news and classical music on air for three long days during Easter time. On tv just theater plays and movies like Barabbas and The Robe
If it’s any consolation, there was no music on my stroll this morning. Headphones blew up yesterday- well the left one stopped working would be a more accurate description.
Cafe owner here; I love choosing playlists for the cafe. Can’t just be what I want to listen to, as the wife demographics of customers in small Highland village probably wouldn’t appreciate that. So, challenging in a fun way, avoiding cliches, repetition and what Jeni calls “jangly” music.

That’s it. Can’t think of any more Watchtower/cafe breakfast puns.
I am not ready for public consumption unless I have completed my morning routine.
All the noise , the waiting, the people and the wrong music would really throw me.
