the fact they just skipped a number like it’s a thirteenth floor just showcases how all they really have going for them is their marketing and even that is an arbitrary mess
trying to avoid the catastrophic letdown of whatever GPT5 ends up being by doing the branding version of “You have until the count of three! 1! …2! …..2½! …….2¾!”
We'll see, but between industry oversell and critics derail, we (users) have been getting new tools and improvements very fast. Life transforming tools.
I'd disagree that anything we've seen so far has been "life transforming" other than it being a very impressive auto-complete (and admittedly it is good at that).
Unless, of course, you mean the increased pace of environmental destruction or enshitification of the internet. They are life changing!
There are more than 10,000 IA tools lunched in the past 2 years, of course not every one get to be useful, not say life-changing. But if you think ai haven't change your life recently you are not taking advantage and you are not paying attention of how it affects you as a passive user.
It'd be great if you gave examples of how AI has completely transformed your life rather than speaking in broad proclamations.
I do use AI where it is useful and ethical. E.g. Copilot for coding, NotebookLM for research/learning and Claude for general purpose. They are useful but no step change.
Maybe a little from column A a little from column B.
Asking the government to certify your product to give it an air of legitimacy (and hide behind "we did what we were supposed to do" in court) is an underappreciated form of regulatory capture.
I would like to announce my new product, the Elixir of Immortality. The product is not quite ready for release, but if anyone would like to send me some money in advance, I will definitely sent them an elixir as soon as it's ready.

That, and pretending that their products are more useful than what they are.

The only risks associated with this grift-product are economic collapse and theft, and the fed sure as hell ain't legislating either of those away.
Also, “model family?” I’ll have the Ultra Platinum Max Limited version with leather seats.
