I realise we're all watching the Legion of Beavises (TM @davidjroth.bsky.social) try and steal directly from the government but NVIDIA's stock is the lowest it's been since September 2024...

Could be a factor, but enthusiast GPUs represent only a small fraction of their ballooned valuation. Most of their value comes from their expected place in the future AI chip market. Seems more likely to me that this move is just further pessimistic sentiment on the heels of Deepseek.
I don't know if there is a bubble anymore. I'm very anti-ai, but I see it as being too overwhelming at this point. I've given up on the future making sense.
Would that every company with an oversized P/E suffer the same fate.
Even at 47, it's overweight. But NVIDIA doesn't have a direct line into the US Treasury atm, either. Hard to bet against that branch of Silicon Valley when they're in the middle of a smash and grab.
Tank the economy to buy more stocks at a cheaper price to later sell after they artificially juice the economy, then sell the stocks before they tank the economy, rinse & repeat.
On the bright side maybe if NVidia craters the little broccoli headed morons will kill themselves before they ruin the government because their WallStreetBets ass portfolio went up in smoke.
The dumb is off the charts…one thing we haven’t documented is that evil is nearly always extremely stupid. Being deceptive isn’t being intelligent and we need to stop pretending it is. It can be fun to not have any rules & only get ruled by is but it is inherently stupid & destructive.
*id but we forget that Nazis didn’t just murder Jews & Roma they killed a generation of German men…that was the result of their grand idea. They got their country bombed out.
It's kind of amazing they've got nothing. Every car, cash register, and TV is now a computer. And all they've got is what if autocomplete had emergent properties.

their 50-series launch has gone poorly, looks like
A launch with no product doesn't seem like a good idea in hindsight
Can't frame generate shit outta thin air.
if a game doesn't use dlss a 5xxx isn't going to help much
the 5080 is just straight up shit value, too
Maybe save the celebration until we see some high end used cards actually go down in price.
It is now an arms race to train the LLM better not buy chips to train inefficiently faster.
