Having a generous tbr pile allows me to bail on books I’m not enjoying. If I didn’t have a tbr pile I’d feel obliged to plough on. And life’s tough enough without reading books you don’t enjoy. So keep stocking up!

I have so many books on my TBR pile and still I go to the library ! I have asked them to ban me, but they refused as apparently I’m a good customer’

I was bought a T-shirt saying "It's not hoarding if it's books". I subscribe to this. TBR piles are simply books waiting for the time to be right for them to be read. For every book there is a season, as The Byrds didn't sing.
