It is terrifying. I was in the hospital the past week and pretty much spent the time when I wasn't in opioid-induced slumber doomscrolling and watching the absolutely terrifying news. The poor young nurses, most of them women, repeatedly told me that they had lost hope for the future. Heartbreaking.
