Cats do not take getting comfortable lightly. S/he saw that little cut out at the the box, calculated the dimensions and knew it was the perfect size for an ear. Smart kitty.
So many Bodegas, so little time! Where do you find all these? You must live in the LA area, there weren't this many in the Bay area when I was living there.
Yeah, I noticed when I hovered over your handle just after posting. I am default Mexican biased due to where I grew up in Chicago and so don't associate NYC with good street tacos and bodegas. Of course NYC has/had a huge Borikén and South/Central American population if they can still afford it?
I don't know about the street tacos here, but bodegas are on just about every couple of blocks (depending on the neighborhood) and have been for decades. Though a lot of them have upgraded and have salad bars now.
Our corner bodega when I was 15 in Chicago had a taco cart inside that made a dollar bean burrito that was lunch by itself!
Back in 1967 (when I was 12) I would just tell my Mom I was going to the Mexican store. Always liked the bright colors, votive candles & real imported Mexican Hot Chocolate!
A Latinx convenience store more or less depending on your area. I grew up in inner city Chicago and back in the 60's it was our corner grocery store. We would just say "Mom, I'm going to the Mexican store" but they had weird (to me at the time) votive candles and imported stuff with Spanish labels.

Cookies, crackers, and cereal should not be in the same section, and the soap right there is just the cherry on top.
Cute kitty, though.
