Without much better messaging about the public nature of this site, Bluesky risks becoming an attractive nuisance that will put unsuspecting users at risk of revealing WAY too much in ways that can’t be undone.

every feed populates in a different way. some look for text. some collect posts based on users. others may be more advanced (detecting cats in photos)

I mean I grew up when registering a domain required everything in your whois record. I trust no site, no service. They can all be bought and then your data can be public in 99% of cases. Thats not even counting breaches and oopsiedasies. 🤷‍♂️

yeah maybe it's a generational thing but I was always brought up with this idea that there's no privacy online. It doesn't matter how silo'd or private you think your posting and content is, it's out there and very vulnerable. So stuff like posting nudes is just unthinkable.
