Seems very likely the Musk/Trump regime could also try to use IRS data to get home addresses for dissidents, queer people, and other minorities.

This story is tough to summarize in a catchy way, but I'll try: The DHS asked the IRS to share the home addresses of 700,000 people suspected of being in the country illegally, and the IRS said no because that's not legal. Nixon was nearly impeached for a similar move.
