Was hoping for a bit more from this lot all the same
I don’t know what their vision is for how these cuts make things better. The optics for them aren’t good, combined with voting to keep the two-child benefit cap and remove the winter fuel allowance.
Labour strategists practically tell us is performative.

Not in my name, Kier.
(we're not going to) CHANGE 🙄
The UK needs...
👍 Customs union and single market leading to rejoining EU
👍 Reverse privatisation of the NHS and utilities
‼️ WEALTH TAX NOW ‼️
You think I am on my own .... think again starmer !
Be Labour or fuck off.
Tax the wealthy;
invest heavily in national renewal;
create better paid jobs;
increase pensions;
reduce dependency on welfare;
then reduce taxes for workers.
Austerity failed under Tories & it will again!
If they believe the system (by which they pay to provide the help promised as part of the Welfare State) is being defrauded, prove it, pursue the abusers instead of blanket persecution.
So who is advising the Labour government ….strengthening the RW alliance not weakening it .
Can Reeves / Starmer et al not understand what is happening .
Progressive values being destroyed by Labour for others gain
I've been perplexed about this, and would be interested in your opinion.

I just signed the petition to to demand the Government tax the super rich to rebuild our NHS, schools, and other public services. Will you sign too? https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/tax-the-super-rich-to-stop-cuts-to-public-services-1?source=bluesky-share-button&utm_medium=socialshare&utm_source=bluesky&share=d681d607-45b6-49bf-adf0-7d05fd185a03
Is it better to use the parliament ones- then at least they have to discuss it
However corporate tax evasion is estimated to be circa £34Bn *ANNUALLY*
Focus people. Focus. Hit where it hurts most.

The wealth tax fills the 'black hole' so no need for austerity now.
Stopping tax evasion means there is enough headroom to ensure no future austerity measures are needed.
The old army rule: never give an order you know will not be obeyed.
Can you define it that way?
If you can't then you're writing bad law.
NB; assets such as shares, stocks/bonds or property are not wealth because they're intangible. They're only wealth when sold.
It's a wealth tax and it's been around since 1894.
I didn't say we should not do it. I said we needed to define the rules and how we would implement it very very clearly BEFORE we do it, otherwise we're just making a crazy legal mess for ourselves.
Bad law makes hard cases. Lots of bad cases.

Neoliberal economics... support the rich, cull the poor.

Emphasise instead well being , on the risks of continuing to protect Capital , by regarding finance as the jewel in the crown of the economy
By not seeing people as Units of Production but as human beings
