How do we reconcile the reality that politicians, both local and global, news, media, journalists and other organizations that provide resources, info accessibility still use Twitter. It's a direct-source platform, and it's been around since 2007, it's part of the architecture of the modern internet

Search engines seem to cache some accounts, so they'll still show up as search results even if the accounts are already gone.

That's been my experience with Ecosia anyway.

I had been leaving my locked account as a personal archive and messaging method for some contacts, but almost everyone I talked to is here now so I'm going to see if I can convince what's left of X's infrastructure to export my data and then delete it.
