These are the same people that tell you their cat hates men because it never goes near their boyfriend, but then that same cat will sit in the lap of a different guy and be happily loved on. People are mostly unobservant and oblivious to their surroundings and conditions. It's the air they breathe.
What makes this an “apex” skill? What does that mean? Given that evolution only preserves traits that aid in reproduction, why would having this skill as a baby be evolutionarily advantageous?
Some for dogs who don't like women outing trans men.
Animals don't even know what trans means. They don't give a damn. 😭 Even if they did I'm pretty their only concern would be treats, walks, and attention.
Same for racism. They don't care. They just vibe. I love dogs.
some dogs with sex specific trauma responses will be fine around a trans woman/trans man. (As in their gender fear lining up with the trans person's gender.)
Completely depends on the animal and what specifically is the trigger.
I’ve seen dogs who are afraid of men be perfectly comfortable with a man in a long wig who softens his voice/body language (vet techs use this trick) — agree they are definitely not responding to anything innate or biological, more just resemblance to a scary person/people from the past.
Since hormones change scent, I asked trans people if pets got confused during transition. One answer was that changing clothing confused them more, which surprised me.
Yuuup. Grandpa adopted a terrier mix at one point, and our best guess is that the man in his previous home abused him, because that little dog was absolutely terrified around men but perfectly fine around women (he eventually worked through it, but it took quite a while).
I at least got to speedrun the "wary to trust" scenario after he was playing with the german shorthair and she got a little too rough and latched onto his head and wouldn't let go.
I had a tiny little terrier-shaped shadow following me around for weeks after I pried her off, because I was safety.
More than 90% of the time, you can tell without asking, which is better odds than most things. That leaves tons of people where you can't just tell, even some where doctors will disagree.
person confined by social constructs tries to say babies and dogs arent confined to them by confining them to an even stricter social construct and then calling it "apex"

"You gain the ability to sense the gender of anyone you meet BUT you have the object permanence of a baby."
Impressive.
Gender and sex are different.
More importantly, how is "gender" harmful? 😭
Animals tend not to give a damn about sexes outside of trauma responses. Then even 1/2
Animals in general aren't transphobic.

Cologne vs perfume for example. Abused children sometimes get subconsciously triggered by smells and don't even realize that's the reason.
Body remembers even if the mind forgets.
He's cautious around all new people just especially men.
Warmed my heart seeing my boyfriend be all patient and understanding. 😭 He got bit a few times when moving too quick.

You became the special exception and enabled them to be more trusting of any humans that look or smell similar to you!
It's a lot of progress that extends beyond you. (Like loosening a pickle jar!)
As for animals:
"gender is a harmful social construct"
i think this guys a bot
