His first movie, Top Secret! was a very silly World War II spy spoof of very little merit amongst the low merit spoof films of the 80s but he was as bright and shiny as the sun in it. It's streaming free for everyone on Pluto TV and worth the 90 minutes to turn off and just giggle. RIP.

When Kilmer was in the frame, you could not take your eyes off him in that film. His lines were pitch perfect, sweet ambrosia.
