I live in NW Riverside County, #CA41. The dumb, angry #WhiteTrashWithMoney who are the rank and file conservatives in this area will never, ever forgive Newsom for his COVID policies, not least because they treat public schools as free child care* and school closures took that away.

At the local elementary school, white parents routinely pull their kids out of class a day early for long weekends at Big Bear or THE RIVER, or take them to Disneyland in the middle of the week (because they're annual passholders; most weekends and holidays, and many Fridays, are blackout days). 2/3
