histogram! it's a map of your photo exposure, higher peaks on the left mean darker exposure, higher peaks on the right mean brighter

It’s a live histogram, a rudimentary Google suggests if you have an “info settings” panel in the menu you should be able to disable it there

jeebus thank you I had been all through the menus but knowing what it's called helped me find the setting with a google search, I didn't know what to search for before 🤦🏼‍♀️

Was beaten to it but it's a histogram that maps/graphs exposure levels across different wavelengths.

You may also be able to cycle the histogram off by hitting down on the dpad to cycle through overlay options.
