I had to look up whether it means that the wine has had its corked remove or put in place. It’s one of those weird words where it could maybe mean either, liked how shelled nuts means the shells have been removed when it seems like it could mean the shells are still on.

or like my favorite us/uk linguistic split: in negotiations, “tabled” in the u.s. means “taken off the table,” as opposed to “put on the table” in the uk.
