Btw, we can suggest edits to correct errors on Google maps. Just highlight a location, click "suggest an edit" in the location sidebar, select "place name," and enter the correct info. If enough of us do that every single day, maybe someone at Google will get some job security out of it.

In fact, a complete lie that they do this. Despite the Irish tax haven, places in Irish speaking areas, which only have an Irish language official name, STILL appear only in English on Google Maps. You can *search* for An Cheathrú Rua, but it will only ever show as Carraroe.
