This is such a wonderful way of doing it, too. Books like this become worlds that the readers would be heartbroken to lose, but authors are just people and it's not fair to expect them to keep writing for the rest of their lives. Passing it down to someone you trust is a way to honor both.

As much as I like Shannara I wish somebody did a tv series of the Landover novels. My favourite. Also his Hook novelisation was better than the movie I thought. 😀

Shannara was a good set of stories. I will revisit it, as it has been 30 plus yrs. since reading. Instead of looking for new materials, read the stuff you already liked, forgotten, and may enjoy again. The stories were forgotten, but not the feeling it provided, that I do recall. It may happen again

I did love that they made a TV series a bunch of years ago (2016), and it was basically “what if ‘The Sword of Shannara’, but everyone was hot as fuck?” 😂

The Shannara books were always on my list of series to read, but at some point life got in the way (and ADHD got worse when I didn't know I had it) and never got around to reading them. I still have to finish reading the Wheel of Time series! I only got up to The Path of Daggers.
