Yes! A new book doesn't have to be newly published, it just has to be new to you. Also Wilkie Collins is very readable, I enjoyed "The Moonstone" quite a bit.

I'm five pages in to Wilkie Collins's The Woman in White. I realize it's from 1860, but it still counts as new if I haven't read it before, right?

I've got a "new tunes" playlist that includes Betty Wright and Herbie Hancock 🙃
I've never read it, but I feel like if I'm ever stranded and out if things to do I'll really appreciate having it with me.
Furthermore, you can read it free on Project Gutenberg.

The Woman in White is beautiful and moving, but it doesn't have that sly, acidic charm.
