This summer we will all be tested up here in the PNW, were we get so many fires. We need more firefighters and the resources to fight these battles. Not less. Trump's cuts will kill many. He will have blood on his hands.

The work meteorologists do as part of an incident command team during a wildland fire is critical for all who are involved in the firefighting efforts--and for residents who need accurate and quickly changing weather information. This does not bode well for the upcoming fire season.

On top of the firings of full time employees, the hiring freeze for seasonals, now this with NWS professionals….

Being on an IMT for over 20 years, I can’t imagine what this season will be like

No using fuel cards
No dispatchers
No firefighters
No weather outlooks

Just Flames 🔥 Lots of 🔥
