President Biden is expected to permanently ban new oil and gas drilling in large sections of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, as well as other federal waters. The move relies on a 70-year-old law that could make it difficult for the Trump administration to reverse it.

There are no βlaws,β whatever those were.
45 will ignore it.
Then we'll see which way John Roberts goes.
WHY?
Why kneecap the USA unilaterally and indiscriminately?
WHY?
It would be good if he does go ahead with this though.
OPEC is going to keep production levels the same, the only thing you can control is how responsible the extraction is.
Price signals. Drill less > price rises > consumption falls.
LNG is far more polluting than locally used noxious methane.
Also I think you will find local noxious methane prices are now linked to the Global Price?
That is what happened in Australia. A disaster

So angry apparently we'll throw out the party trying to curb those prices simply because they didn't use the right buzzwords and have to deal with realities like SCOTUS.
See 1970s Oil Crisis. Or Kuwait 1.0.
If the US reduces drilling, Saudi Arabia will simply increase it and it'll be done in the dirtiest, cheapest way possible.
No EPA making sure that it's as clean as possible.
That's the only option for the foreseeable future thanks to 2016/2024.
THAT'S MY PRESIDENT!!!
