Here’s the hard truth: this country’s people are tired of subsidizing billionaires. Want your cars to sell? Do it without subsidies. Want to shoot rockets into space? Get by without govt contracts. Want to build a website? Build your own internet first. We are DONE with you.

Whenever there’s announcement of some Trump action - usually a high-level firing these days - that seems sudden and unconnected to anything else, I always look for what he is trying to distract us from. Tonight, after multiple stories of resistance, the Head of the Joint Chiefs’ # was up.

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) was established by Benjamin Franklin in 1775 when the Second Continental Congress appointed him as the first Postmaster General.

“put it on his fucking gravestone”

Thanks, Today Show for highlighting possibility of Pandas coming to the U.S. I predict Trump will get involved in order to grab some undeserved credit, and will end up mucking up the whole deal. That’s how he rolls.

In this country, we have lawyers arguing that collecting a murderer’s dna is a violation of his privacy rights. And others arguing that the government has a right to track women’s menstrual cycles. And voters so upset about people’s pronouns, they vote for a felon dictator. We’re just doomed.

I hope all the DOJ people who resigned during the Valentine’s Day Massacre, and are willing, are hired quickly by blue state AGs to continue their mission of upholding the rule of law.

Some MAGAs are now sharing all their policy complaints about Biden - justifying their votes for Trump? So they voted for a lying tax-cheating felon because “boys playing in girls’ sports” among other things. 🙄😖 Tbf, immigration and claims about their criminality is a main factor. The lies worked.

James Carville on @thebeat.msnbc.com just agreed in part with my Virginia prediction, pointing to the Virginia Governor's election in November. Federal workers and their family members WILL turn out and vote!

Encouraging everyone with every fiber of my being to read this entire substack by @hcrichardson.bsky.social — it is, written in fact without doubt to be read in horror by those of us who believe in the principles and values of the United States of America. 1 of 2 open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...

Trump takes a taxpayer-funded joyride at the rained-out Daytona 500—while gutting the federal workforce. But the rain didn’t stop him from hogging the spotlight. Meanwhile, over on NASCAR’s official Instagram page—he was dragged for filth in replies…

This isn’t budget cutting, or ‘rooting out waste fraud & abuse’; this is slash and burn at warp speed with no intention of coming out the other end with a functioning government. The intent is to hollow and destabilize, as autocrats are want to do prior to full takeover. Not what you signed up for?

I couldn’t pick a favorite part. Just read this.

Some positive thoughts among the anguish: - the federal workforce is very large. There is a multiplier effect on the fired employees: family, former co-workers, etc. We can convince them to vote blue in ‘26 - Northern Virginia has a LOT of federal employees, huge impacts. Virginia swings blue

First, Trump announced a "takeover" of the Kennedy Center (he loves the word "takeover"). Then he appoints loyalists to their Board of Trustees, they name Trump as Chairman, and then - in a level of narcissism like nobody's ever seen - Trump congratulates himself on the honor. NEW ⬇️
