"Pro-lifers" at some point will need to accept that there are going to be women--and girls--who have abortions. The question is whether they're safe -or- we return to back-alley quacks and coat-hangers, plus life-saving gynecological healthcare denied.
Many "pro-lifers" would rather return to unsafe, back-alley abortions because they think that they people who seek abortions should die along with the fetus.

Plenty of "pro life" women HAVE abortions. They believe that their abortions are moral because they have a "good reason" unlike the slutty other women who don't deserve the choice.
I was so impressed with her telling her story unapologetically. I think we need to hear this sort of thing - yes, abortion is healthcare, and bans can mean people dying, but also sometimes you just *don't want to be pregnant*, and that's okay, too. It's her body.
I'm a bit surprised that Stevie didn't say "Fuck those people." and then turn to look directly into the camera and say "I mean it. My decisions about my body are MINE. FUCK YOU."
I think so. She recently did an interview that (I think) first disclosed her abortion around the time of the album Rumours. I'll see if I can find a link.
Yeah, the out of context "so what do you say to people who say you're a slut" just rubbed me wrong, but you're right, Stevie probably thought it was a good time for the conversation.
