Hell, I'm happy with my social media experience being an echo chamber, as it were, if the alternative is a constant barrage of hate and bigotry. I get irritated enough by just reading the news. I'd much prefer to exchange ideas with likeminded people on social media rather than "debate" asshats.

I think of sites like Twitter, Mastodon, Bsky, etc. as a more bite-size and disorganised version of message boards/BBSs of yore; there's potential for insightful discussion, but I'm also happy to just shoot the shit w/ people. In the end, it's up to the user to make the experience what they want.

This blocks words specifically, so you can avoid their buzzwords and hatred immediately! I recommend muting words that are offensive to you or trigger words -w-
