It’s still earlier than I started my Coat of 365 Colors. While also finishing a pattern release and cutting the Kona squares. I support the other ideas of making the backpack and holding on the pattern.

Oh, I think I misinterpreted the “drafting my own pattern” as “making a pattern to sell”. Coming up with your own backpack still sounds like a lot to me, though.

How about meeting you halfway? Make a backpack but use an existing pattern and then use the time you saved for class prep/ restaurant research?

Yes backpack now, but draft your pattern later. Fiddle with a known pattern if you want, but doing both pattern & backpack could be a lot more work in a limited time. 💕
