I posted my favorite mushroom photo I’ve ever taken (and I’ve taken thousands!) when I first joined, but I didn’t know about #fungifriends yet, so I’m reposting it. Waxcap. #naturephotography #forestfloor

I love this shot! And I love mushrooms and we should all pay attention to their importance in our environment. They do so many good things we never see.🍄💜
That's a really incredible photo. No wonder it's a favorite. I never got into photography, as a hobby. But, I can certainly appreciate the artwork of others. That's amazing talent. 💗
"Hope you're having a great day, wherever you're and if it's the opposite, sending hugs and love towards you, Albeit all inconvenience and weird approach, I'm pretty sure you've come across various comments like this online and would gladly appreciate if you can send a dm and Hear me out, Thank you"
I miss mushroom hunting. If I still live in N California i could show you Matzi, boletes, chantrelles, black chantrelles. The Prince. Shroom hunters paradise
I tell you what...can you post pics of some you could actually eat. I love rooms cooked in butter and soy!!! They are fun to look at as well.Have all kinds in southern Virginia!
I have an android with 48MP but the photos do not always pop. I had a fixed lense camera I loved, but someone stole it. The one I have now has exchangeable lenses, but I have not yet figured it out.
Fun fact, in Japanese the word for mushroom is "kinoko" which literally translates into something along the lines of "tree child", and I think that's so heckin' CUTE! Look at the lil guy! The lil tree child! Awwww~
b'coz u have such great pics of fungi, really great, I'm following u.
I tried to sign up for fungi and foraging but as am autistic, a Family Dr and aware of painful death of poisonous fungi- scared myself stiff, so never been on a forage. terrified of Death Cap. thanks 4 ur pics!
I live in Wales, Italian and London restaurants will come and rob forests for wild garlic and local mushrooms. I wouldn't brag about where I found them, just that I saw them. delete location data from photos .
But it is amazing. and yes, ur photos r neck n neck with Lukes photos - see my stream.
I hate that. So many comments under my photos are either I eat these or can you eat these. I wish people could appreciate them for their incredibly important role in nature and how beautiful and interesting they are, and not just what they can put in their mouth.
I don't want to put Luke down, but your photos are colourful and amazing, Luke has shown us some really amazing photos. His look like a mushroom family cozied up together.
They r so beautiful. The concept of mycelium network in the forest floor as plant internet is amazing!!! There is a brilliant 3 volume sci fi story ( can't remember the name) but all along - it turns out the plant life was sending messages into alternate realities and universes. It was amazing.
Ids appreciated! This year was a big year for mushrooms here! 2025 is going to be even better. Super bloom is going to be massive! I love California! Is the 3rd one the Prince? 🍄

i kind of want to live under it
If I had to pick a mushroom most likely to trigger fatal organ failure out of a lineup, this one would be the one I'd pick.

I love to photograph them, I love to supplant with them, and I love to eat them.
I only hope the ones I eat aren’t beautiful!!
My mom was a mushroom hunter years ago..like 50?
She used to bring home bushels of Puffball and Morells when she’d go.
When she brought them home, that’s what we would eat for dinner…and nothing else!! 😄
Don't think I've ever seen anything like it.
fungus is the coolest thing in nature
This would be my first mushroom post

Glad you are enjoying the photos.

Anyway, lol, thanks!
you don't want that.
its different in some European countries, they grew up foraging daily, - eg Jamie Oliver and Genaro Contaldo. Great Tv, I would never dare.
ours tend to change with the weather, here's today's selection from our yard
