Donkeys are actually very smart! I had a friend who raised one and it followed and listened to him like a dog! It actually guarded his chickens and sheep like a guard dog!
Totally agree, there has research that shows that they are very smart and sensitive animals as this shows!

It's like a shot full of goodness directly to the soul. I miss my uncle's hogs. If we visited when there were babies he would bring one out for us. We didn't get hugs but they loved getting belly rubs and back scratches.
