Oh hot damn. My agent is like “You want a letter saying you can move? I will write one HELL of a letter.”

My CPA, who is a night owl, replied saying “Ha ha, no, CPAs don’t do that. Banks try this all the time just so they have a letter to stick in their files.”

So I sent that email to the underwriters, and they can deal.

That and the idea of having to pack up the books again. The last time I moved, the very nice moving man who lugged my boxes said at the end: "Ma'am, you own a daunting number of books." I remain daunted.

Last time we moved we paid for movers. The guy walked into the living room, and told the kid taking notes to make sure they brought all the small boxes they had. And that was before we opened the cupboard in which the roleplaying books lived

Those prompted him to do the mechanics sucking teeth thing and explain to the kid that these books absolutely had to be in the small boxes because they are printed on magazine type paper and are very heavy in bulk (he was not wrong)

I paid for the packing guys when my mother moved in 2020. She owns daunting number of books too and china. They had to make a box run.

I lived in a studio apartment so the movers said “You don’t need an extra guy” (which I offered to pay for). I did tell them “but I have books and no elevator!” Luckily the apartment at the other end did have an elevator!
