When I moved in June, I filled boxes about 2/3 with books and the rest with towels, etc. My movers thanked me. But most of my books burned in the old house, and I avoided acquiring physical books until the new house was ready. Someone moving a lifetime of books will need to fill the boxes fuller.
The fun thing is that you will not be able to figure out what happened to your socks, washcloths, and kitchen towels, buy a bunch of new, then discover them later when you unpack your books!
The person who needed to build a wall of bookshelves before there was space to unpack the books?
We tend to add built-in storage and have none in our new place. We bought bookcases on day 1, but also booked a pro to get good shelving. 10 years later, the first pass stuff has become craft storage
I tried that for a while when I started buying more manga. Found some storage boxes made for letters, which seemed a decent fit. Then, to my horror, I discovered that even in my relatively small at the time collection, there were half a dozen sizes of "digest".
(Since I'm not moving any time soon, I eventually found that DVD/CD/game media shelves are perfect for manga. Set up some shelves at small manga height, some at tall manga height.)
Bookseller here. I deal with this EVERY SINGLE DAY. Find a local bookstore and ask for the packing materials they get in their shipments. Air pillows are the best. They also usually have book sized boxes. And will be eternally grateful if you take them!

A small bottle of ibuprophen?
Down side: book boxes are already pretty heavy
Our last move involved packers. They walked into the living room and the guy immediately made a note to bring all their small boxes
Then he saw the gaming books and told the kid working with him to get those into the small boxes first. They are dense
