When you are a kid, you think that it's normal.
I go years without so much as a cold.
Is it, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?"
I dunno...
Pretty sure that "adverse" covers a LOT of trauma. I never "wished" for anything. Plus, I didn't include the physical/mental abuse dealt out by my 1st Hubs. My clinical depression, and such.
I've always wondered about the P in PTSD. 🤷🏻♂️
It may largely depend on what one chooses to do with their experiences…stay in a hurting rut, or, learn from it & do better.
