It's so disappointing how the sequel trilogy ended. I actually liked the first two movies in the trilogy, including The Last Jedi. The Rise of Skywalker just feels like they got scared after all the backlash they received and spent the entirety of the movie trying to "correct" their mistakes🤦

In making the video I never finished on the production of the sequel trilogy, that was the one consistent issue I found.

Both times Abrams was brought in, he was starting from scratch only a few months out from production.

I'm a huge Sequel defender, I think they ultimately make a Star Wars more interesting than the old EU did, but I won't ever forgive Bob Chapek for rushing that series out the door instead of giving it time to cook, especially TROS after Carrie Fisher's death.

The third, unfortunately, kinda torpedoed a lot of what I personally liked. But in the end, I think the time crunch on that film is by far the biggest culprit.

I’ve actually ready every book and comic from the EU. I will happily concede that the EU (or Legends) is superior to Disney’s Star Wars. I definitely loved Cade and Darth Krayt’s battle and I actively shipped Cade and Darth Talon (😳.) The Yuuzhan Vong War is probably my favorite Star Wars series.

Nah. It is an action movie in a SW Universe and lacking one aspect that makes SW Universe makes distinct.
I love the books (Timothy Zahn FTW), gotta big collection of comics etc.
Disney could have easily use Quinlan Vos, A'sharad Hett, Mara Jade and numerous others but they got greedy.
