It seems there should be a space to discuss the Hunter pardon that exists somewhere between “It’s the end of the world as we know it” and “It’s nothing in fact there has never been anything that was more nothing since the beginning of time”
But, perhaps not. 🤷♂️

On one hand I feel like 'screw it, why do Dems always have to be the good guys'
On the other, I really wish he hadn't done it. It sets a bad tone. I believe in the rule of law. I don't think presidents should be pardoning family members
I’d have done the same if I was Biden.
In normal times Hunter wouldn’t be pardoned, of course he wouldn’t have been charged in most cases.
But mostly Trump is the master of—
😎
How do we fix this? Perhaps not for now, but for the future.
To me, I see a person who is generally principled and believes in institutions. Against someone we all know is a loving father.
I am glad I am not in his shoes having to live with that internal struggle.

My problem w/the pardon was I believe Biden was always going to do it so he shouldn’t have discussed it at all. I think Hunter did commit the crimes, but would the justice dept. have reached a plea deal if his name wasn’t Biden & they weren’t going after Trump. Seems to me they would have.
Trump already pardoned a bunch of criminals. It’s irrelevant.
Biden makes too many promises ("one term", "won't pardon") that he doesn't have to.
It's a moral problem to use the power of pardon for family; it's a moral problem not to do so when that family member is under particular threat.
Finally, it's damn tough to be ethical during a tyrannical regime.
Trump was always going to do whatever he wants.
