Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
It's about humility. Son of good not too high and mighty to wash the dirt off your feet.
Lead by example, and all that kinda stuff.
There's also a reflexology/healing angle as well, but that's another whole discussion.
My art history teacher in high school told us that "feet" was a common euphemism for genitals and it wasn't the feet he was cleaning--he was curing prostitutes of STDs. I literally have not come across any other person or source who has said the same since, but I think about it every few months.
Dan McClellan is a really good academic in this kind of discussion, he’s well educated and not an apologist. It’s complicated since the Bible is so many books and lots of cultures smashed together. https://youtu.be/lvzLKnHlGrY?si=l71Ma9UeAb393lXS
I tried feet washing in a church environment once, a long time ago. I have to say the sensuality and homo-erotic aspect was a bit too much for people. Even I was creeped out.
You know, I met several of his followers in the gym locker room who asked me about my 15 4E sized feet 😆 just as off-putting as the guys who ask about my hip scar, " you're too young for a hip replacement as they look at my ass and junk. Smh no dude just almost lost my leg after being stabbed lol.

I understand his point about washing feet.
People who let their feet get like that
That was the Christlike thing to do.
Wash those feet! Not just for you
Not just for them
But for everyone
