Senate Republicans are using a budget gimmick to justify slashing Medicaid and other life-saving programs — all to fund billionaire tax breaks. To dodge Senate rules around the deficit, the GOP is pushing a 'current policy baseline' to score the cost of their Trump Tax Scam.
That means Republicans are trying to make it look like extending billionaire tax cuts would cost nothing, when in reality, it will cost trillions of dollars.
However, the GOP hasn't secured the Senate parliamentarian’s approval to apply the 'current policy baseline' — only to consider the bill.
Republicans are going to try to pass this bill ASAP, which means that there could be a vote on the Senate Budget Resolution as early as tomorrow. It's time to light up the phone lines to let senators know we see what's happening and won't be fooled. 👇
Hello, Those that we trade with...
The US debt is larger than any other country. We spend & owe more than we can afford so again I ask, how can the US be so F'n rich when we are so F'n poor & still don't take care of the lowest paid folk
Even if the tariffs are dropped or eased in the future, do you think the prices will come back down!? Oh, hell no, they won't! This administration has screwed all of the middle class and the poor. Why would anyone think billionaires give a flying shit about the majority of Americans 🙄 🤬
I would hope that Senate Democrats are ALSO aware of this plan. Perhaps some fiscally responsible Repubs will join in. The ones who voted down Canada tariffs are already in the hot orange juice; maybe its time for an Orange Julius Caesar with Democrats serving as Brutus and Cassius.
I just want to say that if Republicans vote to give tax cuts to the wealthy and take benefits and rights, they will not be re-elected. Turning on your own people is disgusting. I know he doesn’t care. That’s why he so despicable.

Tax cuts for the rich consolidates wealth.
Their budget gimmick? Exists to conceal the truth about helping the rich get richer.
And they'll exploit all 97% of non-wealthy people to achieve it.
Fuck. Them.
Math is irrelevant when you're gambling with human lives.
Democrats have historically done well when in power, but they are in the minority in Congress
Congressional Republicans are in power right now, and can make change
