This week, there were 7 confirmation votes in the Senate. And after millions and millions of people showed up over the weekend at #HandsOff events around the world, 18 Democrats joined with Republicans to confirm 5 of those nominees. Someone explain it to me like I'm 5.

What are the chances our Dem Senators will block it?
Super worried about this one. Many women will need to apply for passports, & who processes those?
Might be easier for married women to take back their birth names. 🤷🏼♀️
I think dem senators will filibuster it…and it won’t pass….Hopefully!

Sure, we can primary Democrats. Especially the most feckless ones. But what about the ones who are reliable? Or ones who are well-positioned to win tough seats?
Be strategic, not hysterical.
Is there something I don’t understand?
Especially not for Governor
He could very possibly be president right now .
@hickenlooper.bsky.social who knows what his gig is, almost never hear from him anyway.
This is not normal. People need to understand this isn't normal.
Let your friends and family who might not realize. We need their voices.

This past Saturday,
I joined the over 5.2 million protesters saying hands off the take over of our government.
You voted to confirm unqualified, incompetent and appalling enemies of our country who are hell bent on destroying our democracy!
And I've called them way more this year than my own mother to let them know how disappointed I am in them.
Sen Cantwell voted for Scott Bessant. @seattleindivisible.bsky.social organized office visits. 130 of us did, and that was just the PM! All week there were office visits of 100+. Let me tell you, she hasn't voted yes on anyone after.
