It's also OK to be scared. And naive. "Ignorance is bliss" is a saying for a reason.

But if we choose to be ignorant of what is happening around us, we shouldn't be surprised if a problem gets bigger than we can handle....alone at least.

We are stronger the more we connect with others.

I agree with your sentiments. We are stronger when we have a community to stand with.

As a Canadian, I’m used to standing next to my American friends and their country. Now their govt is threatening my nation with trade wars, annexation and threats of violence.

It’s bewildering.

I apologize for however much it means. My personal beliefs are fairly liberal. Politically I try and be very moderate/find a compromise we can all be happy with, but not everyone gets what they wanted necessarily.

What's going on right now just feels antithetical to everything I know about America.

Some call it "community" or maybe "family." Religion, clubs, friends, social circles.

Or "Fellow Americans" if you're feeling patriotic.

What I mean to say is that there are others to support you.

I think a bit of it is that all of us have a little "All talk until it happens to you..." to different extents. I have no doubt that some, if not many of them, are scared, too.
We will see who will uphold their Oaths as more become aware of the extent of what is going on.

It’s not naive to expect that….you’d be amazed how many of them really do want to do the right thing. Different ways to get there sometimes, and learning about the issues, the root causes is a shocker.

They are used to greed but have trouble believing it when the come face to face with evil

Also, most of the problems that hit the press are more about SNAFUs and screw ups, not planned cruelty.

I can so relate to your post. It's as if I wrote it myself. Every day, my light grows dimmer as I witness how evil a person's heart can be. Man's heart is truly frightening and like you, I am scared.
