I decided not pursue a diagnosis for Autism ontop on the neurdivergent diagnosis I already had. Partly due to finances and partly due to safety.

I've never been more glad of that decision.

I'm really scared what's going to happen.

Yep. My former doctor and I had the discussion multiple times. I chose not to be formally diagnosed because I felt it might create a wrinkle in finding employment and other issues. Seems like I made the right decision but not for the reasons I thought. :/

Folks - they're going to suck in all sorts of data (cell phones, watches, scales, etc etc etc) and medical records in order to algorithmically determine who is autistic but has not been officially diagnosed.

Look for a local chapter of Pink Pistols, an LGBTQ-organized gun organization. Ours was very helpful in getting my husband and I started with gun safety training and advice starting a couple months back.

we're currently monitoring whether they're going to try going directly to providers for records/data.

so far, the info sources they're enumerating aren't providers - it's insurers, pharmacies, data brokers, etc
