It’s key in our school. I am a custodian it’s not my school it belongs to the the community, my job is to make the school the best it can be. You do that by creating a space where teachers can be the best they can be. I am a “crap” umbrella that lets the important people do their job.

📌 love this. I’m feeling pushed to move up to headship (why don’t you do your NPQH etc) but I strongly believe that being a good deputy is very much servant leadership. I just feel a bit undervalued I guess 🤷‍♀️

What’s interesting is how far along that journey we are now and how those teachers have grown (same staff roughly, bar a couple of promotions and a retirement). My job is even more how I allow them to be fab.
