Anyone wanna bet that the automatic COLA for inflation that Social Security recipients are supposed to get will never be seen again under this corrupt regime?
We're not going to have much choice. And that's exactly how the Great Depression happened. The rich always forget where their money comes from. Until it's gone.
Guys there's only one way to stop this shit and it's us (American people)! Our Fathers and Grandparents fought, now it's our turn. This is a peaceful protest, we need 3.5 %. For God sake!, Be an American! SHOW the FUCK UP!! No one is coming to save us!!!!!
Remember this from a Michigan rally on Nov 4, 2024?
"We're just one day ... a half a day ... away from the best jobs, the biggest paychecks, and the brightest economic future the world has ever seen," the former and future Republican president declared.
ffs, why do they use the term "reciprocal tariffs" in this article, none of these tariffs are reciprocal, theyre based on TRADE DEFICIT not tariffs that DO NOT EXIST. im so fucking tired of media's subtle bootlicking
They don’t care about $3800. That is pocket change to him and the craven billionaires in his orbit. They won’t care if we all die early or impoverished any taxpayer earned benefits. They don’t care about their people.
It’s all the other implications too. I do research side-work for an investment banking firm and they just canceled my contract. And my main employer just announced they are cutting bonuses this year. It’s the whole trickle down effect and everyone freaking out, people losing money in investments.
I took Kamala Harris said $4000 on the campaign trail. She must be clairvoyant or Trump said what e as going to do & geniuses like LA Times Jamie Dimon Waltons Tim Cook every tec bro & every media whore didn't believe her
$3,800 this year in a country where more than half of the households couldn’t handle a $642 emergency without debt. (Not sure of the exact numbers on this study from a few years ago). But it’s roughly correct.
Increased inflation leads to
Lower consumer confidence which leads to
Lower demand which leads to
Increased supply which leads to
layoffs which will lead to
high unemployment
All because the GOP allowed Trump to usurp the power of the purse from congress.
I came here to say that. It will cost that projected amount to those who remain employed at their current income. To the new unemployed or under employed it will cost many many times that.

So we're talking about 4.8% to maybe 5% inflation.
Soon.
Gooooo Trump!!
(I mean, like 'go away' just to be clear.)
😳🤦🏼♀️😭😭😭😭
$3800 is a lot to a family with unemployed folks
Lower consumer confidence which leads to
Lower demand which leads to
Increased supply which leads to
layoffs which will lead to
high unemployment
All because the GOP allowed Trump to usurp the power of the purse from congress.
This is a complex disaster that will take years to climb out of
The longer this goes on the deeper the hole we put ourselves in
Donald Trump's tariffs could sap a third of my income this year.
Thanks, Republicans and non-voters.
