Even the first two sentences are complete horseshit. Crime went steadily down nationwide from Bill Clinton taking office until the pandemic. We got a spike during the pandemic that's already come back down. Crime's about as low as it's going to get without meaningful gun reforms.

To actually respond to the "merits" of his argument… Crime is at historical lows, despite the bump during the pandemic! Most cities are back to their pre-2020 criminal trend lines! We incarcerate obscene amounts of people compared to almost every other country, disproportionately people of color!
