Hi BlueSky! My name is Steph. I’m a post-doc in Glasgow and am just finishing up first year of a three year fellowship developing support for fears of recurrence in psychosis.
Doing a wee introduction thread about me and my research. Would love to connect with others.

Fear of recurrence makes him very cautious about social challenge, certain writing projects, and medication reduction.
Following you now, because you're interesting.
I had a different name on the other one. New site, new start.
Fear of recurrence seems underappreciated in psychosis. Our team's systematic review noted it is linked to experiences of trauma and worries about the consequences of having another episode. It may even predict future relapse events.
Despite being overlooked in psychosis, if you develop FoR after cancer here in Glasgow, you can be referred to this service.

I've also been conducting exploratory work in collaboration with people who have experienced psychosis to understand FoR from the perspective of MH patients and staff. How is it experienced? What do people think support should look like?
Almost 200yrs after this and it still happens a few hundred times a year.
