My family took in an elderly couple fleeing Ukraine. They stayed with us only 6 months. But they are family now. They are a third set of grandparents to the kids.

My grandfather was born in Quebec. I paid a lot of money gathering all info to prove decendancy. I lived in Montreal as a kid. The French in Quebec made it impossible to get his birth certificate. They wanted $3000 to write the request in French using their people. After 3 years, I gave up.
