We thank everyone for supporting the boycott of American products. But please buy Lays chips. There are 1200 union members with the Steelworkers at the plant in Cambridge and they need your support.
Boycott American plants but support the jobs here in Canada.

I do.
"You can't buy that orange, because you'll put apple farmers out of business!"

Okay, sure. So buying one or the other is irrelevant to the outcome.

I've never heard of these smaller brands you all have mentioned. Perhaps they could be exported to Australia when we form CANZUK?

Where it's possible buy Canadian made. If there isn't a compatible product or service, then there are international Service and products industries worldwide.

If we all bought exclusively Canadian, all these little Canadian companies would suddenly be able to hire a lot more people. So I'm not interested in the "jobs" argument.
There are so many amazing Canadian companies that deserve to be highlighted instead.

Used to work a company that managed Logistics for Frito.
Yup.
Great company.
Yummy 🥔
So, to fund Lays is to fund the largest shareholder of America’s five biggest weapons manufacturers.
How about we quit this half measure BS, and get on to completely reimagining existence away from colonizing corporations?
we automated cash registers. we do the work an employee once did, for free. But we fail to realize that millions of people worldwide r out of a job! All these wages no longer have to be payed out. Groceries didn't become cheaper. All the wages now also go to these holdings.
The ROOT!

Else you get something like a tree. Brake down some twigs, but the next year new ones grow in a slightly different way. The entire tree needs to be taken down by it's ROOTS.
So why would we BOYCOTT lays only? it's only a twig on it's own.
You go!!
I understand and my feelings aren't hurt. This may help the cult members down here get it!
A Michigander 💙✌️
I support my local farmers. And I support (and eat!) Lays. 🇨🇦✅
😁😁😁
I am finding that I have been buying a lot of Canadian products all along. Just better stuff.

That should be Canadian owned imo. We're done with Americans taking home the meat and being left with crumbs.
Sincerely,
Concerned citizen.
Sorry Scott but you’re being a total jerk off.
Perhaps you just need to think a little clearer. Who's the enemy? How could they fix it.
But you wanna swing at a team mate? Grow up.
All great and available across Canada.
We can pile on the punishment.

I checked first - there are plants in ON, NS, QC, and AB. And Costco has investments in Canada and employs Canadians. I stock up when I go to Costco.
I will be buying them from now..
Love Canada 🇨🇦
I get it but the more all big American companies suffer the better.
made in NB
buy Canadian!
Decrease the amount of the chips in the bowls.
BTW, for buying Japanese, I mainly buy Japanese dubs of classic films to practice their language.
Ah, the dilemmas we’re now needlessly made to face. 🙄
I worry people don’t know which brands also support 🇨🇦 workers.
My household is refusing to buy "American Made" products
But we are still buying (American owned) "Made in Canada" products as we want to maintain the livelihoods of fellow Canadians
It's hard to distinguish between the 2, but overall, it's worth the extra effort
#ElbowsUp
The reality, they aren't
We buy 🇨🇦ian owned/made 1st
Foreign owned/🇨🇦ian made 2nd
Imported only when there's no other choice
I am retired, & like so many others, I have no choice but to factor in cost
I must shop within my budget
Hard choices

Fuck.
Used to be 100% Canadian from New Lowell, a small town in Ontario - kinda my old stomping grounds.
Ditch the overpriced US crap asap and stop sending $ to these fascist supporting businesses. Btw, Lay's is still active in Russia, too. 🤬
It's an occasional snack for me.
Always be Organic. 👈🏼
Just ⚖️ sayin' 😋
Priorities 🇨🇦
Supporting Canadian companies gives them a chance to expand and employ more Canadians. We shouldn't give the states any more power.
450 Million Consumers in the EU27
European population 745 + Million.
Adding Canada 40 Millions. Mexico 127 Millions.

The Canadian companies will stick around long term.
This NYer accepts the assignment sir!

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Origin: The brand was created by Vickie and Bill Kerr, potato farmers in New Lowell, Ontario, Canada.
Production: Miss Vickie's chips are
Frito-Lay: The brand is now owned by PepsiCo and produced by Frito-Lay.
Love it. 😂
The business should go on strike until Trump resigns.
Don't take it out on the people. Their bosses should be on Trumps tail getting him to resign.
No productivity until Trump is gone I say.
Let Trumps election be a BIG MISTAKE, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY TRUMPS RESIGNATION.
PepsiCo. Is a garbage company.
