Back in the day, when science was for boys and the humanities were for girls, these guys were all about science. Now that science is a girl thing, it must be stupid and useless and bad.

A fun fact about women's sports is that none of the women's leagues were started in order to prevent men from dominating the sport. They were started because a woman beat a man at a guy thing, and the guys didn't like that one bit. Now we're doing the same thing, but with knowledge in general.
After years of softball, I played baseball at a community event. I was a right fielder, and whipping that ball to an infielder or to home was like a piece of cake after being able to do the same with a softball.
That dropped the scales from my eyes.
We were told we had the bigger, heavier ball because it wouldn't bruise as much, and it would be going slower so we wouldn't get hurt. 🙄🙄🙄 But here i was, kicking ass at baseball the first time I played it.
Women should be allowed to play pro baseball in the MLB. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
"Allowed" but there is no structure for women to enter. Do the recruiters go to softball games? Do the owners even consider looking at women? What good is it?
True even on a high school level. I coached the first female HS pole vaulter in Massachusetts, one of the first in the US. We needed go to court to allow her to compete with the boys. After our 2nd female vaulter started beating the majority of boys, girls’ pole vault became an official event.
this is...nonsensical. the WNBA and NWSL weren't started because women beat men at soccer or basketball. there are zero women in the WNBA or the NWSL who could play in the equivalent men's league. making things up about sports leagues doesn't buttress whatever point you think you're making
thank you for your 100-year-old example. in 2017, the best women's soccer team in the world (the uswnt) lost 5-2 to a random u-15 boy's team. pretending that elite men don't have a sporting advantage over elite women isn't going to win any arguments.
In 2022, the Chelsea women's team beat the Chelsea men's U18 team in a friendly.
2) The FA kneecapped women's soccer for half a century because women's soccer drew too many fans. In England, women's teams couldn't even rent big stadiums to play in for decades after 1921.
Figure skating is another example: In 1902 Madge Syers entered the World Championships and finished second. The ISU then banned women from competing against men, and established a separate "ladies" competition in 1906.

Then they aren’t really allowed, and the rule exists just so conversations about the barriers
can be quickly shut down.
In 1922, Dick, Kerr Ladies FC went on a U.S. tour, going 3-3-3 against the top men's teams, drawing against 1922-23 US champs J & P Coats.

"After the Barcelona Games, the International Shooting Union (which became the ISSF in 1998) barred women from shooting against men."
