We're up to 29 D Senators positions recorded; 6 Nos, 1 Yes, 22 with no position. Tomorrow's going to be a big day when a lot is going to shake loose. Less than 48 left to make your voice heard. https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/tally-3

I was a monthly out-of-state contributor to the campaigns of Gallego, Rosen, Slotkin and Warnock — maybe my calls to their offices urging a NO vote might carry some slight weight?
Call this senator (local is best)and tell him to stop enabling Trump/Musk's corruption and vote NO on the CCR. He is supposedly a yes. (Also demand our donations back from this hypocrite.)
I heard that after I reposted the #s related to Josh Marshall's list of pending. TBH though - Kaine has been all over the map - hard to know what his thinking is!
I left a voicemail for @wyden.senate.gov @jeff-merkley.bsky.social today asking them to commit to No on the so-called CR and said I'd be calling again tomorrow if they were still uncommitted.
I have called, and now will call my NY senators again, but how can 22 have no position? I am an inveterate pessimist & am not easily shocked, but these numbers made my heart sink.
Dems - magas in charge. Tell them to do their job is to pass a real budget.
Dems can only support a “CR deal” IF:
1. Current impoundment ends
2. Fired IGs are restored
3. DODGE is disbanded or follows all applicable laws as a department. That mean background checks on all and confirmation hearings
I fully expect the Democrats (as a whole) to once again support the people they claim are a threat to Democracy, probably because “it’s the right thing to do.”
@ossoff.senate.gov @warnock.senate.gov you have federal gov employee constituents who are depending on you to ensure Musk is tossed to the curb. Shut it down. This is literally maybe your only chance to change things.
Exactly. They think (well, Ossoff does) they’re running against MTG for re-election. Don’t be surprised when it’s Kemp and all of this conservative-friendly cosplaying bites Ossoff in the ass.
IMO passing the proposed gop budget allows them to do everything they’re doing now, plus gives them MORE power until September. Better to shut down now than to give them one more thing.
It will be chaotic either way 😢. But right now most if the chaos they’re creating is illegal. Their budget will allow them to continue, plus legalize even worse actions.
No, my question is: why is voting “no” on the CR a problem for Republicans. Won’t a government shutdown (the result of a winning “no” vote) ultimately help them since they don’t want government to work anyway.
Good luck with that. I've called her office multiple times over the last three weeks and no one answers, eventually getting voicemail after a minute or two. It's been that way for over a year based on what I've read.
All of his offices go straight to VM. I’ve tried calling every one of his offices multiple times over the last few weeks and it all ends up in the same vm
Ugh - thanks for trying but so lame of him to be unreachable - by choice. It's not a surprise when the DC #s do but incredibly obnoxious for the local offices.
You have Senator Murray as a “soft no,” but she’s proposing a 1-month CR. That’s just another month to keep breaking things. She needs to hear from her constituents that that’s not ok https://bsky.app/profile/murray.senate.gov/post/3lk2w5lht4c2m
There’s no way to get through to a staffer in Fettermans office. The whole phone tree ends up in the same VM, no matter which of his offices you call. I left a message anyway.
He will never get another dime from me let alone my vote

Also, glad to see Markey changing! He must have listened to my VM ☺️
Not surprised
Hope they both vote NO!
Disgraceful.
And Carpetbagger McCormick, a MAGA rubber-stamper.
PA’s gonna be useless for a few years.
