I very much doubt she's emotionally invested in Assad himself. My understanding is that she claimed he didn't have to be an enemy of the US because she didn't believe the US ought to intervene in Syria.

Moana is from a fictional Polynesian island. Tulsi from a real one. The rest is just joke writing, as a fellow film lover. Not sure what all white people are doing, but they are prolly not all doing the same thing. Peace and love.
