Reading Blinky Bill to my 2 y/o & it's the most unhinged shit I've ever read. I’m not sure why but I always thought Blinky Bill and the Koala from the Magic Pudding were the same, probably because they were both from a similar weird and violent world of early Australian children’s literature couple that with some of those Dreamtime books and Aussie kids had a wild storytime
