That first highlight where he throws out Terrence Long at third was in the first month of his MLB career. One of the best defensive highlights in MLB history and after that everyone in the league understood: do not try to run on this guy if the play will be remotely close.

I distinctly remember being at a Tigers game in the RF bleacher when Seattle was in town and someone hit a ball through the infield w/a runner on 2nd and he came up FIRING. Runner stayed at third but the whole crowd was like “ooooooooooh” because the throw was so good. Incredible to watch.
