Climate laggard Poland?

Not anymore - coal used to provide 95% of Polish electricity.

Last year it was 53.5% with wind & solar providing almost one quarter.

Depends on how much subsidy they can divert down to Houston, but they do have a lot of political infrastructure to do it. We're going to be a poor country paying more for domestic energy than the rest of the world does to import it.

The biggest lie of the coal advocates is that people out there want coal power. Coal power is a last resort choice. They're dirty, ugly, and importantly, have a big infrastructure demand from how quickly they burn said coal.

Natural gas and lpg are much easier to work with

Solar+storage at home-scale is amazing. If only we could get more people to do it. I have 10kW of solar plus one 13kWh battery in the PNW, and I’m already running a monthly surplus. By the end of next month I’ll be a net producer on the calendar year.
