I lived on the hill and my fave memory is walking down East Cap as people (and dogs!) pulled little kids in sleds, people cross country skied, and everyone was joyfully in awe.

My son was born in that blizzard. Almost had to deliver in house with no heat or power. Brave EMTs and Paramedics hiked in 2ft of snow to house. A snowplow and NG Humvee eventually got to us and took us to a main road where an ambulance was waiting. He arrived 45 mins in hospital. 15 on Fri.

Yes, I had left town the day before Snowmageddon hit to attend a cousin’s wedding in Hawaii. When I got back a week later, the cab I took from DCA almost didn’t make it down my street because it had not been plowed yet.
