The DOS games I played all supported it directly, thankfully, and by the time Windows 3Dfx games were here, I'd moved on to a K6 225 and a SB AWE64 Value, leaving DOS behind.
Worked great for my DOS games at the time, tho - DOOM, Descent, Dark Forces, etc.
